Privacy policy
Applies to Mermaid Diagrams & Flowcharts for Confluence. Last updated 26 July 2026.
In short: the app does not collect, transmit or store your data anywhere outside Atlassian. Diagrams are rendered in your own browser. There is no account, no server of ours, and no third party involved.
What the app stores
The configuration of each diagram macro you create: the diagram source you type, your display preferences, and a cached copy of the last rendered image.
All of it is stored in the Confluence page itself, inside your own Atlassian site — versioned, exported and deleted along with the page, exactly like any other content you write. We have no database and store nothing anywhere else.
App data transmission
The app declares no external permissions, so the Atlassian platform prevents it from making outbound network requests.
What the app can access
The app requests no Atlassian API permissions (scopes).
Personal data
The app does not collect personal data.
Anonymous and unlicensed viewers
Diagrams render for readers who are not signed in, on pages your organisation has made public. No information about those readers is collected.
Retention and deletion
Deleting a diagram, a page or the whole site removes the data with it.
Security
The app treats diagram content as untrusted and is designed accordingly.
